Bolitas de Nuez – Sweet As A Nut

Bolitas de nuez or “nut balls”, are made with finely grated or processed Brazil nuts, ground vanilla cookies, and condensed milk, all mixed together. I recall a time when they were part of every kid´s birthday, and were always present at tea time.Bolitas de nuez. R. 1024x341A few weeks ago, as I was chatting with my daughter in law, she told me how much she loved these sweets when she was growing up, and how much she enjoyed the whole preparation process. Words lead to actions, and a few minutes later she was making them.Bolita de nuez.-5The result is a mixture between a cookie and a candy, and because they are not baked, they don´t have a long shelf life, but you can store them up to three days in a tightly sealed container, at room temperature. They are delicious and look gorgeous in nice glasses or in candy paper cups. Chances are you have the ingredients in your pantry. So, what are you waiting for?
