Easy Chocolate Mousse with Aguaymantos

If you’re a chocoholic like myself, you will absolutely LOVE this dessert. It came about as an accident one night when I was having a killer sugar craving, and since that day on it’s become my favorite indulgence. Aguaymantos, if you remember from a previous post, are a juicy, sweet, slightly acidic, and almost too pretty to eat fruit from the Andes. However, I do find them in most of my local supermarkets here in NYC, and even at the farmer’s market during the summer, so you can probably find them too. Just like any kind of berry (strawberries and raspberries in particular), they go perfectly well with chocolate, balancing out the flavor. These dried aguaymantos covered in chocolate are the perfect proof.

Next time you’re having friends over for dinner and don’t want to stress over dessert, or if you’re at home and want to have something sweet that will be ready in minutes, try this. You won’t regret it.
