Pineapple Water – A Diuretic Elixir

Do not add sugar to this amazing water because it´s already full of flavor: it has the fresh pineapple and the fragrant spices. That make it delicious, perfect to drink it instead of water during the day or to use it as the base for smoothies.


During a few days forget about sugary drinks because you need to detox after all those parties, all that food and too many drinks you had last month.

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 allspice berries
  1. Peel the pineapple. Save the meat to have it later.
  2. In a saucepan combine the skins with cinnamon stick, cloves and allspice berries. Cover with 8 cups water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 40 minutes. Turn off the heat and cool.
  3. Strain the water discarding the pineapple skins and the spices.
  4. Pour the water in a jar and drink all day long.
